Brussels in August

Cardinal is hosting The Changing Seasons for the second year
The idea is to capture all the changes of one location throughout the year: the seasons, the weather, different times of the day

This year we can choose (or combine) Version 1 or Version 2:
V1  Each month, post 5-20 photos in a gallery (only new shots)
V2 Each month, post one photo (recipe, painting, drawing, whatever) that represents your   interpretation of the month

I will be presenting downtown Brussels in B&W in V1

the main event in August was the 20th Flower Carpet

which this year had a Japanese theme
(a Japanese crane and a red sun in the middle surrounded by swimming Koi and blooming plants)

it could have been observed from the ground or from one of the balconies,
not without queuing for at least half an hour though

or from your own window

it was the first time that I saw it from above

there were some unusual activities

some nice new wall art

but all in all, rather calm

  1. I've never been to Brussels even though my maternal grandfather came from there. I really enjoyed this view of the city - especially the first photo. I would love to have seen it in colour :)

  2. Nice works and thanks for sharing, cheers.

  3. Have to agree with Jo - would love to see the carpet in colour :)
And as usual you show off Brussels so beautifully
    Jude xx
